My research currently is limited to collaborative studies focused on beta-mannosidosis, a lysosomal storage disease, and the pathogenesis of nervous system lesions. Characterization of a mouse model with deletion of the beta-mannosidase gene will further the understanding of the role of metabolic abnormalities in CNS dysfunction in this disease. Research in medical education involves the use and evaluation of new technology in enhancing learning of neuroscience concepts.
