Senior Mackenzie Thibault was recently invited to present her research at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Aurelio Galli invited Mackenzie to speak to his Neurobiology of Addiction class after they met at the Society for Neuroscience Annual Conference in Washington DC last Winter where Mackenzie presented her work on the molecular mechanisms of fluoxetine (Prozac) action in the brain. She is an undergraduate research assistant in the laboratory of Dr. AJ Robison.
During Mackenzie's visit to Vanderbilt, she toured campus and visited many research labs. She also met with Dr. Mark Wallace, the head of the Vanderbilt Brain Institute, as well as other professors who study neuroscience. She is now considering Vanderbilt as a possible home for her future PhD studies.
