Microcredential Policies

Registration

Registration is ongoing, year round. Visit our EventBright page to register for the self-paced courses. Courses may be taken individually, or bundled together as a microcredential. Prices are listed on eventbrite; discounts may be offered for students and professionals.

Please contact the Director of the Microcredential Program, Kathryn Irish, at irishkat@msu.edu, if you require accessibility accommodations.

Content & Course Delivery

Content is designed for persons with diverse educational backgrounds; there are no prerequisites necessary. Courses are delivered online, in an asynchronous format via pre-recorded lectures followed by a brief quiz. In order to achieve CE credit, you must pass the quiz with at least 70%.

Certificates

For courses approved for continuing education, certificates are automatically generated and available for download or print immediately upon successful completion of the quiz (minimum score of 70%). You may retake the quiz if you do not pass the first time. Courses with certificates will offer participants the option to enter their name and license information, for inclusion on the certificate, if they choose to do so.

Refund / Cancellation Policy

Refunds and cancellations must be requested within the same course offering period the course was purchased. Once the course has closed, we can no longer cancel enrollment or issue refund. Requests for refunds or cancellations after the course batch close date cannot be processed. If you would like to cancel your registration and/or request a refund, please contact neurosci@msu.edu

Courses may be taken at your convenience at any point within the course offering period. Eventbrite requires course-links to close and re-open periodically. This means sometimes links to specific courses refresh, or update - and older links expire. If your link expired, we can issue a new one. If you paid for a course that is no longer offered before you had a chance to complete it, we can work with you to offer an equivilent. Limitations may apply.

Eventbrite Link Expired or Not Working?

If for any reason your course shows as inactive or is no longer working, please reach out to Dr. Irish irishkat@msu.edu via email and include:

  • Subject line: MSU Continuing Education - Need New Link
  • Course Title
  • Registration Info: Reciept OR Date of Registration & Email used to register
